Maritime and Transport Careers Programme Update

Since the successful launch of the Maritime and Transport Careers Programme in November, the programme has engaged with over 5,000 individuals of all ages and participated in more then 50 events.

The programme has organised immersive dats, attended careers fairs, school assemblies, industry events, and provided MTCP insight presentations, along with DWP & Partners careers events. Additionally, MTCP has supported Maritime Mondays, a CPD and networking opportunity for careers, education and teaching professionals. Each Maritime Monday has offered information, insight and on-site visits to Leisure Marine or Port Operation businesses.

MTCP’s activities have supported both National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week. The MTCP programme has reach individuals ranging from primary school children to retired returners to work.

The programme is also able to announce that Carnival has joined the group and will be supporting with future engagement projects.
